MJ-5 Sirocco #025 - F-PCPR

 Le Sirocco F-PCPR a été construit par l'Aéro-Club de Bourg en Bresse (01) et a effectué son premier vol en janvier 1987.

Il part pour Avignon avec son nouveau propriétaire, Gérard Guillaumaud, en avril 1989. Puis, Jean-Claude Masue, de Chalon, en devient le propriétaire fin 1992.

C'est ensuite Dominique Nardi, de Nancy, qui l'achète et y laissera un pantalon lors d'un vol épique magnifiquement raconté dans l'Info Pilote de décembre 2002. Très instructif !

Ce Sirocco est actuellement la propriété de Gilles Avenel et est basé à Dieppe (LFAB, 76). Le 12 juillet 2007, à la suite d'une diminution de la puissance du moteur en montée initiale, il atterrit sur la piste d'Avignon avec le train partiellement rentré et sort latéralement de la piste. Sa refection entraîne l'apparition d'une nouvelle livrée.

 Sirocco F-PCPR has been built by the Bourg-en-Bresse flying club (Bourg-en-Bresse is a town situated east of Lyon, famous for its chicken breed). She made her maiden flight in January 1987. She is equipped with a 180 hp Lycoming engine and constant speed propeller, retractable undercarriage and flaps, both electrically activated.

She was bought in April 1989 by Gerard Guillaumaud, and based in Avignon. At the end of 1992, she was sold to Jean-Claude Masue, of Chalon, who completed various modifications and improvements.

Her following owner, Dominique Nardi, of Nancy, had a trousers leg torn out by the landing gear emergency crank, during a famous flight that was quite humorously reported in the "Info Pilote" magazine of December 2002.Very informative!

This Sirocco is owned by Gilles Avenel since June 1999. She is based in Dieppe (LFAB). A loss of power while take off at Avignon July 12, 2007 makes her land with gear partially retracted. The whole repair made her change of painting.
