MJ-2 Tempete #054 - F-PGTY

 Maurice Genty est instructeur voltige à Romans lorsqu'il entreprend avec son fils Jean-Louis la construction d'un Tempête orienté acro. L'avion prend l'air en 1991 avec son moteur de 160 cv et son capot métallique.

C'est en 1998 qu'Arnaud Gruet, leader de la patrouille Nangis-Alpha, contacte Jean-Louis Genty pour savoir si ... des fois ... son Tempête ne serait pas à vendre. La réponse est franche : si un jour je le vends, je te préviens !

C'est chose faite en 1999 lorsque le Tango Yankee devient l'avion leader de la Patrouille Nangis-Alpha. Depuis, des modifications mineures ont été apportés comme le remplacement des capots, l'installation d'une radio et d'un dispositif fumigène...

Il est vendu en 2005 à Christophe "Easy Flyer" Palica qui le base à St André de l'Eure.

En 2024, C. ROHE vens le F-PPZB et fait l'acquisition du F-PGTY qui déménage à Chambley.

 Maurice Genty, an aerobatic instructor in Romans, started building a Tempête designed specifically for aerobatics, together with his son Jean-Louis. The aircraft first flew in 1991, powered by a 160 hp engine and wearing a metal cowling.

In 1998, Arnaud Gruet, leader of the Patrouille Nangis-Alpha, reached out to Jean-Louis Genty with a simple question: “By any chance… would your Tempête be for sale?”

Jean-Louis gave a straightforward answer: “If I ever sell it, you’ll be the first to know!”

That moment came in 1999, when the Tango Yankee officially became the lead aircraft of the Patrouille Nangis-Alpha. Over the years, a few minor modifications were made, including new cowling, the installation of a radio, and the addition of a smoke system.

In 2005, the aircraft was sold to Christophe “Easy Flyer” Palica, who based it at Saint-André-de-l’Eure airfield.

Fast forward to 2024, and C. Rohe, already an owner in Chambley, sold his F-PPZB to make room for the F-PGTY, bringing this legendary Tempête to its new home at Chambley.
